Wisdom Path, Lantau

'Tis the season for a good ole hike!

For those of you who like a simple paved path that leads you into a semi-wilderness, the Wisdom Path up near the Big Buddha is a great place to hike.

It has clear trial markers that lead you to your destination within minutes.

The draw of the Wisdom Path is that it leads to a little clearing where huge engraved tree slabs stand.

There are stairs that circle around the tree slabs, which bring the engravings into close view.

All of the engravings are written in Chinese characters, but written on these slabs are verses from the Heart Sutra.

On a clear day, the other hills of the Lantau Peak can be seen in the distance.  The Wisdom Path also leads to other hiking trails, like the Sunset Peak or the Lantau Peak.

Every time I have been out here, the walk isn't crowded.  It's always been so solitary and serene.

If you are looking for a great place to be in the Great Outdoors, I give this little walk two thumbs up!
